ABOUT MEDIATION
Mediation is a confidential and voluntary process that serves as an alternative to litigation for resolving disputes. A neutral mediator facilitates constructive dialogue between parties, helping them explore their interests, identify common ground, and collaboratively reach mutually acceptable agreements. Unlike court proceedings, mediation is cost-effective, quicker, and focused on preserving relationships, offering a practical and flexible solution tailored to the needs of those involved.
THE SHIFT METHODOLOGY
WHY MEDIATION WORKS
Neutral and Impartial Guidance

Mediators are unbiased professionals who create a safe space for all parties to express their perspectives and explore solutions without judgment.
Focus on Interests, Not Positions
Mediation shifts the focus from rigid demands to underlying interests, fostering collaboration and creative problem-solving.
Confidential and Voluntary Process
Parties can speak openly, knowing their discussions remain private and participation is by choice, encouraging honest dialogue.
Preserves Relationships
By promoting understanding and cooperation, mediation helps maintain or even strengthen relationships, making it especially effective in workplace or family disputes.
FEES
Each mediation is different and as such we do not publish fees. Fees are typically split between the participants.

Fees are tailored to:
-
Number of participants
-
Volume of the document review
-
Mediation duration (typically 2-8 hours)
-
Reasonable travel expenses for in-person mediations

Any other costs and disbursements (eg room hire/refreshments etc) are paid for by the participants.
